"The Lightcrafter" Trailer by ~Obfuscated-Noodle is a great example of light painting animation. A excellently crafted piece.

Handcuffed behind the back close-up
If you love handcuffs behind the back, in arresting positions, and really good CLOSE-UPS, enjoy my shares. Handcuffs, ropes, even NO bondage; I only focus on women's hands shown behind "PALMS OPEN,"
and showing more femininity. None of this tied "PALMS TOGETHER. Prayer position" nonsense. where is the fun in that? 🤷

Description
This is a trailer for my upcoming (hopefully soon!) light painting film, "The Lightcrafter."
The story of the film is about a boy whose dreams take him to a strange land of darkness, his only possession a flashlight. The world around him has been untouched by light, which escapes from his flashlight and becomes a malevolent force that corrupts everything around it. The boy confronts twisted inhabitants of the world in his journeys as he seeks to undo the damage done.
For a while now I have been entranced by the beauty of light painting photography, and was especially interested in its use in animation. I have always felt that light painting animation is a medium with a lot of room to grow in, and I hope that what I'm working on is breaking some new ground.
For those who don't know what light painting is, it is a long-exposure photographic technique that often involves using flashlights to selectively light the subjects and to provide beautiful, in-camera effects. There are many beautiful images throughout deviantART utilizing light painting — this film is a hybrid of live-action HD video and light painting photography animation that is a tribute to the beauty of the medium. It is my attempt to make what are essentially moving photographs.
Many thanks go out to catsagecat (Harmony Sage Lawrence) for all her collaboration, love, and support during this exhausting but extremely fulfilling process (and for playing the frightening Light Spirit).
Additional thanks to fatsfazoul (Trevor Hart) for all the time he gave for acting as the villainous Trapmaker, and to James Kupihea for his performance as the Swordmaster.
This film was shot entirely using a Canon 5D Mark II.
If you'd like to know more, a production blog is here: [link] — but please feel free to ask or tell me anything as well!
Thank you for watching!
